ABOUT THRIVE NOW

Headquarters: Mumbai, India, APAC

Thrive Now is an all-in-one restaurant ordering platform for delivery, pickup, and table ordering with in-built marketing, with the aim to fulfill all needs to ensure restaurant success. Since launching in August 2020, the platform has added over 3000 restaurants and around 1600 restaurants have on-boarded themselves onto the self-service loyalty program.

Based in Maharashtra, India, Thrive Now (originally Hashtag Loyalty)  was founded by Dhruv Dewan, Karan Chechani, and Krishi Fagwani.

THE CHALLENGE

From the very beginning, everyone at Thrive was united in their ability to dream big and reach far. However, the leadership team soon came to realize that turning an ambitious target into reality requires structure, focused communication, and alignment.

Thrive started as a small team aiming to grow 3-4X in the next 18 months and add new people to the growing organization seamlessly, with the end goal to improve the Thrive platform and execute a greater number of deliveries.

Although they had clarity on how to grow, the right structure to execute their growth strategy was missing. Thrive turned to the OKR framework to provide the missing link so that they could quickly achieve their ambitious growth goals.

THE SOLUTION

“Since we were new to OKRs and we needed help getting it right, an integrated software and coaching solution provider like Fitbots was the ideal fit for us. We spoke to the Fitbots team about the needs of our business and their OKR coaches supported us throughout the onboarding process.”

- Krishi Fagwani, CEO and Co-founder of Thrive

Rolling out OKRs was a fruitful learning experience for everyone at Thrive. The importance of picking the right OKR Champions who could drive OKR adoption was highlighted to the leadership team, and some members stood out as motivated and collaborative individuals.

Moreover, the alignment and focus set in so that teams could collaborate and work together to achieve their vision. It created engagement and ownership amongst teams and individuals and drove insights for the organization as a whole. New additions to the team had clarity on how they were involved with the company strategy and how they could measure their contribution towards helping company outcomes. The shift from measuring tasks to measuring outcomes came with some trial and error but was essential to help Thrive grow in the right direction.

“We put a lot of rigor into the OKR planning exercise. Every member is part of it and presents what the team would be working towards and their individual initiatives to make it happen. Currently, the leadership team including Karan Chechani, Dhruv Dewan, and I oversee the planning exercise of setting OKRs. For us, this also helps us understand who in the team can take on ownership and take the initiative of contributing to driving growth,” noted Krishi.

With help from Fitbots, Thrive implemented OKRs across the entire organization in a systematic way that includes everyone in strategizing as well as executing the strategy.

THE RESULTS

“We’re quite familiar with OKRs now and the right rhythm and cadence have set in, but we have regular meetings with Fitbots experts to stay on track and check for misalignments. Staying committed to OKRs has given us many opportunities to learn, improve, and scale.”

- Krishi Fagwani, CEO and Co-founder of Thrive

Thrive has now settled into its OKR practices well, and the leadership team guides the quarterly OKR process with minimal assistance from the Fitbots OKR Coaches. Each quarter, teams come together to review their OKRs, share insights, re-prioritize, identify blockers and strategize accordingly for the next quarter. In fact, you can follow Thrive’s OKR journey on Karan Chechani’s LinkedIn, where he often posts progress updates!

Thrive has created a wonderful growth journey with OKRs and continues to scale rapidly. OKRs created a culture of focus and transparency, and these are the aspects that Thrive has included in its own company culture. For Fitbots, nothing is more rewarding than helping our customers grow and achieve their goals!
